About

Cunard Lake Campground offers 33 rustic campsites on the southwest shore of Cunard Lake, a 43-acre lake restricted to electric motors only with slow-no-wake regulations. The campground features one double site accommodating up to 12 people and four walk-to tent-only sites for those seeking a more secluded experience. The lake and connecting creek to Sweeney Lake provide ideal conditions for canoe exploration. As a designated quiet zone, generators and other noise-producing devices are prohibited throughout the campground, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere. Facilities include two vault toilet buildings, two hand pumps for drinking water, and trash/recycling dumpsters at the entrance. A boat launch with parking is adjacent to the campground, and an ADA-accessible fishing pier, boat launch, and picnic area are nearby. The campground is popular among anglers due to consistent fishing success for both panfish and game fish. Reservations are required and can be made through the Wisconsin State Park System reservation site or by phone.

Directions

From the intersection of Highways 51 and 47 in Woodruff, head south on Highway 47. The campground is located in the southern portion of the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest on the southwest corner of Cunard Lake.
