Open — Open year-round with limited winter access. During winter, the campground road between sites 701-724 is plowed as staffing allows, but only driveways for sites 701, 702, and 703 are plowed. Clear Lake Campground (sites 701-801) is one of four modern family campgrounds in the Northern Highland American Legion State Forest, situated on the southwest corner of 846-acre Clear Lake. This popular campground offers 101 reservable sites accessible via paved roadways, including double sites that accommodate up to 12 people and two camping units, as well as walk-to tent-only sites. The campground provides modern amenities including one flush toilet building with showers, six vault toilet buildings, six hand pumps for drinking water, a sanitary dump station, and separate trash and recycling facilities. The lake itself is exceptionally clear and provides excellent boating and good fishing. A large sandy beach with a marked swimming area is available, along with a boat landing and several boat trailer parking spaces dispersed throughout the campground. Sites may be occupied for up to 14 consecutive nights per visit. The campground is open year-round, though winter access is limited with only sites 701, 702, and 703 having plowed driveways. Reservations are required and can be made up to 11 months in advance.

From the intersection of highways 51 and 47 in Woodruff, follow Highway 47 south 3.5 miles, turn left on Woodruff Road, and the Clear Lake entrance will be on the right.
