The campground has experienced river erosion damage, and currently only sites 1-3 are accessible for camping, while sites 4-6 remain unusable. An overflow campground area across the road is open and usable for additional camping. Visitors are advised to exercise caution when recreating near the river bank due to erosion. Located approximately 27 miles from Jackson, Wyoming, the campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservable sites. When open, basic amenities include vault toilets and a hand pump for drinking water. The campground is subject to bear food storage requirements under Forest Service Order 04-00-104.
