About

Crystal Creek Campground sits at the confluence of the Gros Ventre River and Crystal Creek, both federally designated Wild and Scenic Rivers prized for their spectacular scenery and quality trout fishing. Located approximately 27 miles north of Jackson, Wyoming, this small Forest Service campground provides a quiet alternative to the busier campgrounds closer to Grand Teton National Park. The campground has 6 sites, though sites 4-6 are currently closed and unusable due to river erosion damage. Sites 1-3 remain accessible and include ADA-accessible facilities. An overflow camping area across the road provides additional capacity when the main sites are full. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations accepted. The area offers diverse recreation including fishing in both rivers, hiking, mountain biking, and OHV trail access. A food storage order is in effect, and visitors should use caution when recreating near the eroded river bank.

Directions
