About

Sawmill Flat Campground is nestled along the Naches River in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, providing easy access to the Northern Cascade Range. At 2,500 feet elevation, the campground features 24 sites including standard vehicle sites, tent-only sites, and walk-to sites. A historic Civilian Conservation Corps shelter serves as a notable landmark and gathering spot. The Naches River adjacent to camp has served as a natural corridor between the east and west sides of the Cascades for centuries, used by Native Americans and settlers traveling through Naches Pass. Recreational opportunities include fishing in the river, hiking nearby trails like the Frost Mountain Lookout Trail, and whitewater paddling on the American River. Boulder Cave National Recreation Trail is a popular nearby attraction. The campground is well-suited for tent camping and smaller trailers up to 24 feet. Amenities include vault toilets, drinking water available from hand pumps, fire rings, and picnic tables at each site. No electrical hookups or showers are available. An ADA-accessible site is offered.
