Hydrologic Outlook issued April 10 at 4:30PM PDT by NWS Pendleton OR

April 10th, 4:30 PM — 8:00 PM

ESFPDT Moderate rain this weekend in the Washington Cascades and northern Blue Mountains combined with snowmelt from above normal temperatures will lead to river rises this weekend and early next week. Most rivers are currently running at low levels and the increased streamflows will not be a problem. However, the Naches River at Cliffdell and at Naches are expected to rise above Action Stage early Saturday through Monday. The Grande Ronde River at Troy is expected to rise but stay barely below Action Stage Monday through Tuesday morning. Only localized minor flooding is expected. Please monitor the latest river forecasts from the National Weather Service for additional information.

About

Long Meadow Campground is a developed/dispersed camping area located in the Little Naches area of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, specifically designed for off-highway vehicle enthusiasts. The campground sits at 2,750 feet elevation along Forest Road 1902 and serves as a popular base camp for OHV recreation, with single-track trails leading directly from the camping area into the surrounding forest. The facility offers dispersed camping for approximately 8 camps accommodating 8 to 10 vehicles. Amenities are basic and include one vault toilet, a bulletin board with area information, and an iron ranger fee tube for self-pay ($8 per night per vehicle). No potable water is available on-site, though water can be found at nearby Kaner Flat Campground. There are no garbage services, so campers must pack out all trash. Access is via Highway 410 and Little Naches Road (Forest Road 1900), requiring 4 miles of forest road travel beyond the highway. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Interagency Senior and Access passes provide a 50% discount on camping fees.
