About

Ponderosa Campground offers a rugged, no-frills camping experience in the heart of the Little Naches OHV recreation area within the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Situated at 2,800 feet elevation off Forest Road 1903, this dispersed camping area provides space for approximately 5-6 camp groups in non-designated spots that can collectively accommodate around 9 vehicles. The campground is especially popular with 4x4 enthusiasts, as nearby trails provide direct access for off-highway vehicles. Facilities are minimal: one vault toilet and a bulletin board with an iron ranger for fee payment. Campers must bring their own water and pack out all trash. Payment is $8 per night, payable via cash, check, or the Recreation.gov Scan and Pay mobile app (cellular service may be limited). Interagency Senior and Access pass holders receive a 50% discount on the single site fee. Access is via Little Naches Road (Forest Road 19) to Road 1903, approximately 32 miles west of Naches.

Directions

From Naches, WA travel west on Highway 12 for 4.4 miles. Continue straight onto Highway 410 W for 24.2 miles. Turn right on Little Naches Road (Forest Road 19) and follow 3 miles to Road 1903. Turn right and go 1 mile to camp.
