The campground typically opens in early June and closes in late October. Given its 4,200 ft elevation and access via Forest Service roads, opening depends on snowmelt and road conditions. First-come, first-served; no advance reservations.

About

Manastash Camp sits at 4,200 feet in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, offering a quiet, primitive camping experience in the upper Manastash Creek drainage. The campground has 14 individual sites suitable for tents and trailers, plus an improved dispersed camping area that can accommodate groups. Usage is consistently light, making it a good option for those seeking solitude. The campground operates on a fee basis of $5 per vehicle per day, with Northwest Forest Passes and Interagency Recreation Passes (America the Beautiful) honored. There is no potable water on site, so campers must bring their own supply. Vault toilets are available. Payment is cash or check only. Access requires a 19-mile drive on Forest Service Road 31 (Manastash Road) followed by a turn onto FS Road 3104. The area supports hiking, fishing in nearby streams, hunting in season, and access to OHV trails. Note that motorized vehicles are prohibited on specific trails in the Manastash Creek Drainage per a long-standing forest order.

Directions

From I-90 Exit 101 (Thorp), travel south for 2 miles on Thorp Highway. Turn right on Cove Road and go 4 miles to Manastash Road. Turn right and follow Manastash Road, which becomes Forest Service Road 31, for 19 miles. Turn left on Forest Service Road 3104; the campground is on the right.
