About

Kaner Flat Group Site offers a secluded riverside camping experience in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. The campground features one large group site with multiple tenting areas capable of hosting up to 60 people. The site is equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, and vault toilets. Drinking water is not available on-site but can be accessed via hand pump at the adjacent Kaner Flat Campground across the road. Campers must pack out all trash. The campground sits at 2,700 feet elevation along the Little Naches River, providing opportunities for fishing and riverside relaxation. The nearby American Ridge Trail offers over 26 miles of hiking through towering forests, alpine meadows, and ridge line views, connecting to the Pacific Crest Trail. Motorized OHV trails are accessible within a mile of camp. The Goat Rocks Wilderness, featuring remnants of an extinct volcano and Gilbert Peak at 8,184 feet, is a popular backpacking destination in the area. Access to the campground is controlled via a locked gate; the combination is provided in the reservation confirmation. Reservations are required and can be made through Recreation.gov. Visitors are encouraged to buy firewood locally to prevent the spread of pests and diseases.

Directions

From Naches, WA travel west on Highway 12 for 4.4 miles. Continue straight onto Highway 410 W for 24.2 miles. Turn right on Little Naches Road / Forest Road 19 and follow for 2.5 miles. The site is on the left side of the road, parallel to the river.
