About

Kaner Flat Group Site is a reservation-only group campground located in the foothills on the east side of the Cascade Range within Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. The single large site can accommodate up to 60 guests and 12 vehicles, with multiple tent locations spread throughout the area along the Little Naches River. The campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the surrounding recreational opportunities. Off-road vehicle trails are within one mile, making it popular with motorcyclists and OHV enthusiasts. The nearby American Ridge Trail offers over 26 miles of hiking and horseback riding through towering forests, alpine meadows, and ridge line vistas, extending from Bumping River to the Pacific Crest Trail. The Goat Rocks Wilderness, featuring remnants of an extinct volcano and abundant mountain goat populations, provides additional backpacking opportunities. The site is equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, and vault toilets. Potable water is available at the adjacent Kaner Flat Campground across the street. At an elevation of 2,700 feet, the area experiences warm, sunny summer weather and significant snowfall in winter. The Chinook Scenic Byway passes through the region, offering spectacular views of Mount Rainier and the Cascade landscape.

Directions

From Naches, travel west on Highway 12 for 4.4 miles. Continue straight onto Highway 410 West for 24.2 miles. Turn right on Little Naches Road/Forest Road 19 and follow for 2.5 miles. The site is on the left side of the road, parallel to the river.
