About

Copper Range Campground is a 17-site facility located in Brule River State Forest along the Bois Brule River in northwestern Wisconsin. The campground is particularly popular with anglers during spring and fall seasons due to its proximity to favorite fishing holes and excellent canoe routes. Access is via County Highway H (4.5 miles north of Highway 2) and then west on Park Road. The campground offers reservable sites with basic amenities including vault toilets and a centrally located hand pump for drinking water. Each site includes a picnic table and fire grate. A canoe landing is located a short walk from the campground, providing direct access to the Bois Brule River for paddling and fishing. The Historic Bayfield Road Hiking and Snowshoe Trail can be accessed via a bridge near the campground. All sites can accommodate RVs and pull-behind campers, though there are no electric hookups. Each site accommodates at least one family tent with most sites having room for one to two tents. Occupancy is limited to six people per site with a maximum of two vehicles. One wheelchair-accessible site is available. Firewood must be purchased from vendors within 10 miles, brought as DATCP certified firewood, or gathered as dead and down wood on the property.
