Amnicon Falls State Park Campground provides a tranquil, wooded camping experience in northern Wisconsin, just southeast of Superior. The campground features 36 rustic sites nestled among tall trees that provide partial to full shade, creating a peaceful retreat for campers. Most sites offer seclusion and quiet, with two walk-in tent sites located 100 and 150 feet from the parking area, plus one ADA-accessible site. This is a true rustic camping experience with no electric hookups, showers, or dump station. Vault toilets and drinking water faucets are provided throughout the campground. Families will appreciate the swing set, sandbox, and large open field perfect for games and activities. Generator use is prohibited, preserving the peaceful atmosphere. The campground's location provides easy access to the park's main attractions, including a series of delightful waterfalls and rapids along the Amnicon River. Visitors can explore Upper Falls, Lower Falls, and Snake Pit Falls via the covered footbridge and 2 miles of scenic trails. The park is open year-round for day use, and reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance through the Wisconsin State Park System.
