Open for the 2026 season from May 2 through October 31. Approximately 60% of sites are reservable through Recreation.gov; the remaining 40% are first-come, first-served. The campground is now managed directly by Forest Service staff rather than a concessionaire.
About
Two Lakes Campground occupies a scenic location between Lake Owen and Bass Lake in the Washburn District of Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. The campground features 94 sites spread across several loops, including 7 walk-in tent sites. Campsites are spacious and shaded by pine and mixed hardwoods, with most sites offering views of the surrounding lakes. Each site includes a defined parking spur, fire ring with grill, picnic table, and tent pad. Recreation opportunities abound with two swimming beaches, boat launches on both lakes, and a fishing pier. Lake Owen and Bass Lake contain panfish, northern pike, walleye, bass, and trout. Water activities include power boating, sailing, water skiing, canoeing, and kayaking. The North Country National Scenic Trail passes through the campground from the Porcupine Lake Wilderness Area, and a one-mile interpretive trail circles Bass Lake. The campground provides potable drinking water, vault toilets, and an RV dump station. Garbage and recycling service is available. Most sites accommodate RVs up to 30-35 feet, with select sites handling 45+ feet and five pull-through sites available. Bayfield County requires aquatic invasive species decontamination for watercraft; a sanitizing station is provided on-site.

From the intersection of US Highway 63 in Drummond, turn south on FR 213 (Lake Owen Scenic Drive) and drive 5.5 miles to the campground entrance road.
