About

Bois Brule Campground sits within Wisconsin's Brule River State Forest, serving as a gateway to 44 miles of the legendary Bois Brule River, famous for world-class trout fishing and exceptional paddling. The campground offers 22 sites including 17 pull-in sites and 5 walk-in sites, with a canoe landing conveniently located in the adjacent picnic area. The nearby Stoney Hill Nature Trail provides additional hiking opportunities. Facilities are rustic but functional, with centrally located vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water. There are no electric hookups, showers, or dump station on site, though showers and RV dump services are available at Brule River Motel one mile north on US Highway 2. The campground roads are narrow with tight corners, making it most suitable for tents and smaller camping units under 30 feet, although two sites can handle RVs and trailers up to 45 feet. One site is designated wheelchair-accessible. Campers must bring certified firewood or gather dead and downed wood on site. Cell service is limited throughout the area.
