This includes the Tribal Lands of the Bad River Reservation, the Red Cliff Band and the northwestern county of the Lac du Flambeau Band. Other locations including Madeline Island and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. * WHEN...From this evening through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Around 1 to 3 inches of rain is expected to fall over several inches of lingering snowpack along the South Shore of Lake Superior. Perch Lake Recreation Area is a family favorite campground nestled in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, approximately 5.5 miles north of Drummond on Forest Road 223 (Delta Drummond Road). The campground features 16 first-come, first-served campsites divided between two distinct loops on either side of the 72-acre Perch Lake. The North Loop offers 10 single-family sites situated in a stand of hemlocks, creating a family-friendly atmosphere. This loop includes drinking water, vault toilets, a boat launch, dock, and parking for up to five vehicles with trailers. Campers can access the lake for swimming from this side. The South Loop provides a quieter camping experience with six single-family sites, drinking water, and vault toilets. Each campsite includes a defined parking spur, fire ring, and picnic table. Most sites can accommodate RVs up to 30 feet, with one site accommodating up to 35 feet. The developed boat ramp provides access to excellent fishing for trout, panfish, and largemouth bass, and ice fishing is popular during winter months. Nearby attractions include the Rainbow Lake Wilderness, the North Country National Scenic Trail, trout fishing in the White River, the Rust-Owen Reservoir, and the CAMBA mountain bike trails.
