Gooseberry Falls State Park Group Campground

Open — Open year-round for reservations. Seasonal showers and flush toilets operate from early May through mid-October. Winter camping is available but may require walk-in access after heavy snowfall.

About

Gooseberry Falls State Park Group Campground features three tent-only group sites designed for organized camping groups. The sites share parking areas and have rustic pit toilets with potable water available nearby. The campground is part of the popular Gooseberry Falls State Park, known as the gateway to Minnesota's North Shore. The park offers spectacular views of the Gooseberry River's Upper, Middle, and Lower Falls, as well as access to Lake Superior's shoreline. Campers can explore 20 miles of hiking trails through aspen, cedar, spruce, and pine forests. The park features historic Civilian Conservation Corps log and stone structures built in the 1930s. One of the group sites, Pebble Creek, is notably positioned along the shore of Lake Superior. Seasonal amenities in the main campground area include accessible showers and flush toilets during warmer months, typically from early May through mid-October. The park's visitor center has accessible flush toilets open year-round, and vault toilets are also available throughout the year. Firewood and ice are available for purchase seasonally.
