About

Tucked away at the base of the Teton Mountain Range, Jenny Lake Campground offers one of the most scenic camping experiences in Grand Teton National Park. The campground is situated within walking distance of the eastern shore of Jenny Lake, with commanding views of Teewinot Mountain, Mount St. John, and into Cascade Canyon. This tent-only facility features 51 individual campsites spread across two loops on a glacial moraine covered with open forest of lodgepole pine, subalpine fir, and Douglas fir. Three ADA-compliant sites are available, along with 10 walk-in hiker-bicycler sites. The Jenny Lake area serves as a gateway to some of the park's most popular trails. Visitors can loop the lake, visit Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point, or venture into the backcountry via Cascade Canyon. More challenging destinations like Lake Solitude and Hurricane Pass are also accessible from this area. The Jenny Lake Store is a five-minute walk from the campground and offers firewood, ice, clothing, souvenirs, and snacks. The historic Jenny Lake Visitor Center, housed in the Harrison Crandall Studio from the 1920s, provides ranger assistance and educational exhibits about the area's natural and cultural history. This is an extremely popular campground due to its location in one of the most-visited sections of the park. Vehicle restrictions are strictly enforced: no vehicles over 8 feet high or 14 feet long, no trailers of any size, no cab-over campers, and no generators. Maximum occupancy per site is two tents, one vehicle, and six guests for up to seven nights. You are in active bear country when camping here, and all food and scented items must be stored in provided bear boxes or closed, locked vehicles at all times.
