About

Clear Creek Campground is the only developed campground in the Raft River Division of Sawtooth National Forest, located in northern Utah's Raft River Mountain Range northwest of Salt Lake City. The campground offers 12 individual sites suitable for both tent and RV camping, with no fees or reservations required. The campground provides vault toilets and picnic tables, though campers must bring their own drinking water as no potable water is available on site. Sites are ADA accessible. Restrictions include no horses allowed within the campground, a maximum of two vehicles per site, and all vehicles must park on gravel spurs only. Clear Creek serves as a popular trailhead for two trails: Bull Flat Trail (#001), a 5-mile route to the mountaintop with a branch to Bull Lake, and Lake Fork Trail (#004), a 3-mile hike to Bull Lake. The surrounding Raft River Division offers fishing in small streams, day hiking, backpacking, OHV trail riding, and picnicking.

Directions

From Malta, Idaho, head west on ID-77 for approximately 10 miles. Turn left onto Forest Road 548 and continue for about 9 miles on a gravel road to reach the campground. Note that the gravel road can be bumpy and may require cautious driving.
