This storm system will draw abundant atmospheric moisture associated with Tropical Storm Rachel northward into Eastern Nevada, resulting in the likelihood of rain Sunday and Sunday night. Slow storm motions and/or training cells may produce heavy rainfall and localized flooding. Of particular concern are recent, large burn scars, including the Ward fire south of Ely and the Oxley fire north of Wells. Numerous smaller burn scare from this fire season also remain vulnerable to flash flooding and debris flow. Residents near burn scars should have multiple ways to receive Flash Flood Warning and be prepared to act quickly. Travelers and recreationists should also remain alert and consider alternate plans.

ESFSLC The remnants of Tropical Storm Rachel will merge with a fall-like storm system over the western United States, bringing moderate to heavy rainfall and a resulting threat of flooding. Widespread rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is expected, locally in excess of 3 inches, particularly across south aspects of southern Utah mountains, between late Saturday and Monday morning. Expect many area waterways including streams, rivers, normally dry washes, creeks, and slot canyons to have rising, fast flows by Sunday evening. Current forecasts do not bring any rivers to flood stage, but this will be monitored as the fine details of heavy rain bands become more confident. Those with activities near rivers, streams, creeks and recent burn scars should closely monitor the forecast over the next several days. Those with outdoor plans Sunday onward that include any travel near waterways across Utah should consider alternate plans. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will remain possible through at least Wednesday. While the rainfall rates with these additional rounds of precipitation will generally be lower, areas that receive significant precipitation during the weekend will be extra sensitive to any additional rainfall.

Left Hand Fork of Beaver Creek Order
For protection of wetlands, riparian areas, and steam banks it is prohibited to place or allow livestock in affected area, to camping in the area, and to hitch, tether, or hobble an animal in the affected area. See attached map for affected area.
Mirror Lake Highway Camping & Vehicle Order
For protection of wetlands, riparian areas, and steam banks it is prohibited to camp in closed campsites or where physical barriers have been established. Use or possession of a motorized vehicle is also prohibited. See attached map for affected areas.
South Fork Area Restrictions
To protect watershed areas, vegetation, and riparian around the South Fork of the Ogden River, the following activities are prohibited: Possessing or using a vehicleCamping Being in the area after sundown or before sunrise. See attached map for affected locations.

Entering or being found in a closed area, when posted or marked as closed, is prohibited within the Snowbasin Ski Area.
North Ogden Firearms Order
Discharging any type of firearm, air rifle or gas gun within 100 yards in any direction of the Weber County Road commonly known as the North Ogden Divide Road is prohibited.
