About
Bennett Springs Campground is a primitive, non-fee campground located in the Albion Mountains of Sawtooth National Forest. The campground features 6 campsites that can accommodate up to 8 visitors per site, with picnic tables provided at each site. The campground is well suited for tent camping and offers vault toilets but no potable water, so visitors must bring their own water supply. Fishing opportunities are available in Bennett Creek, and the area provides access to hiking and backpacking trails. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations or fees required. Campers are limited to 2 vehicles per site and must adhere to the 14-day stay limit within any 28-day period. Horses are not allowed within the campground itself. Access to Bennett Springs requires traveling 11 miles west and north from Malta on Idaho Highway 77, then 5 miles west on Forest Road 549. The remote location and primitive amenities make this an ideal destination for campers seeking a quiet, backcountry experience in the Sawtooth National Forest.
