Cave Creek Campground is nestled in an old-growth forest beside Cave Creek, just four miles from Oregon Caves. This small, first-come, first-served campground offers 17 secluded sites surrounded by dense forest, splashing streams, and rock outcrops. The campground provides basic amenities including fire rings, picnic tables, vault toilets, and potable water during operating season. The campground is designed for tent camping and small RVs up to 20 feet in length. Five sites can accommodate RVs, but there are no hookups or electricity available. The small paved parking spots and narrow access road make it unsuitable for large trailers or RVs. Cave Creek Trail provides hiking access throughout Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve, and cave tours are just a short drive away. Visitors must keep campsites clean to avoid wildlife encounters, particularly bears. All pets must be leashed and are not permitted on trails. Only credit and debit cards are accepted for payment. The campground is limited to 14 consecutive days per stay.

Directions

From Grants Pass, OR, travel south 29.5 miles on US Highway 199 (Redwood Highway) to Cave Junction, OR. Turn left (east) onto Caves Highway (Highway 46), and continue for approximately 16 miles to the right-hand (south) turn to the Cave Creek Campground.
