About
Carberry Group Campground operates as an exclusive-use group facility in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, located along scenic Cougar Creek near Applegate Lake. The campground underwent a change of use and now offers the entire facility for group reservations, making it ideal for hunting groups, large gatherings, and private group camping experiences.
The facility features 10 tent sites of varying sizes, with smaller, more intimate sites positioned adjacent to Cougar Creek. Each site includes a picnic table and fire pit. A day use area and vault toilets are available, though no drinking water is provided on-site. Lake access is available across County Road 777, with a trail leading to Carberry Creek that reaches the lake when water levels are full. The campground provides easy access to Applegate Lake and nearby OHV trail systems.
The campground is locked and gated for privacy and security. Guests must check in at Hart Tish Park General Store to obtain the key prior to arrival. Reservations are required at least 2 days in advance to ensure the facility is clean and prepared, with a 2-night minimum stay. The campground is open year-round for reservations. Peak season rates apply from mid-May through mid-September, while off-season camping is available at reduced rates. During the off-season when services are not provided, campers must pack out all trash.
