About

Josephine Creek Campground is a rustic, no-fee campground located in the Days Gulch Botanical Area of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. Set above Josephine Creek and the Illinois River, the campground offers a peaceful setting among second-growth and hardwood trees. The campground features 6 campsites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire pit. This is a primitive campground with no drinking water available, so visitors must bring their own water supply. There is no trash service, requiring campers to pack out everything they pack in. A vault toilet is provided for convenience. The campground is accessed via Forest Road 4201, with pavement ending about 3.2 miles before the campground. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and campfires are only allowed in the developed fire pits. Dogs must be kept on leash, and OHV/ATV use is prohibited in the campground. The maximum length of stay is 14 days.
