About

Carr Creek State Park Campground occupies a scenic stretch of shoreline on 710-acre Carr Creek Lake in Knott County, Kentucky. Nestled in the Appalachian foothills roughly 15 miles south of Hazard, the campground provides convenient lake access for fishing, boating, and swimming. All 39 sites feature electric hookups with 15/20/30/50-amp service and water connections, with site lengths ranging from 30 to 60 feet to accommodate various RV sizes. Facilities include a bathhouse with hot showers, flush restrooms, and laundry. A dump station is available within one mile. Each site comes equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. The adjacent marina offers pontoon and fishing boat rentals, moorage, and a boat ramp. A park store sells firewood, ice, drinks, and camping supplies. The campground operates year-round, though water may be shut off during freezing conditions. Reservations can be made through Kentucky State Parks one day to twelve months in advance. Peak season runs from mid-May through early September and October. A two-night minimum applies on Friday and Saturday nights.
