Cane Patch Campground sits in the Clinch Ranger District of the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests in Wise County, Virginia. The 35-site campground provides a quiet forest setting within walking distance of Phillips Creek Day Use Area, offering opportunities for day hiking and stream fishing with a valid Virginia fishing license. The campground features flush toilets and potable water from faucets. Of the 35 sites, seven include electric hookups. Sites are first-come, first-served only with no advance reservations. Payment can be made on-site via cash, check, or by scanning a QR code through the Recreation.gov mobile app. Downloading the app before arrival is recommended due to limited cellular service in the area. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet. The campground is accessed via State Route 671, approximately 6.5 miles west of US-23 near Pound, Virginia.

Directions

From Kingsport, TN: Follow US 23 north toward Pound, VA. Turn left onto State Route 671 West. Follow SR 671 for 6.5 miles to the campground entrance on the right. From Abingdon, VA: Follow US 58/US 19 West to Hansonville. Turn left onto US 58 Alternate and drive to Norton. At Norton, turn north onto US 23 toward Pound. Turn left onto State Route 671 West and follow for 6.5 miles to the campground entrance on the right.
