About

Cabin City Campground is a peaceful, wooded campground located in Lolo National Forest, just 2.5 miles off Interstate 90 at Exit 22. At 3,200 feet elevation, the campground features 24 paved campsites divided into two loops (A and B), each with 12 sites. All sites are back-in only and some can accommodate RVs up to 35 feet. The campground sits adjacent to 12 Mile Creek in a fairly flat, shaded setting surrounded by trees. The campground offers a mix of reservable and first-come, first-served sites. Sites 1-6 in both loops can be reserved through Recreation.gov, while the remaining sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring. On-site amenities include vault toilets, trash service, and camp hosts. Cell reception is very limited. Recreation opportunities include fishing in 12 Mile Creek and the nearby St. Regis River, beaver dam viewing, and a three-quarter-mile self-guided nature trail with interpretive signs. The campground is located 20 miles from the popular Hiawatha Bike Trail and serves as a convenient stopover between Idaho and Missoula. Groceries and services are available in St. Regis (15 miles east) and Haugan. The campground is 30 miles west of Superior and 65 miles west of Missoula.
