Browns Camp OHV Campground is the primary staging area and overnight destination for off-highway vehicle enthusiasts exploring Tillamook State Forest. Located off Highway 6 near milepost 33, the campground offers 28 individual drive-in sites and one group site that accommodates up to 24 people. The facility provides direct trail access to one of Oregon's largest OHV trail systems, featuring more than 250 miles of routes for motorcycles, quads, 4WDs, and side-by-sides. The campground operates seasonally from April 1 through October 31. In 2026, Browns Camp transitioned from first-come-first-served to a reservation-only system through ReserveAmerica. Standard sites cost $20 per night (including up to two vehicles), with a $10 reservation fee. Extra vehicles are $5 per night. All campers must bring a minimum of one OHV to stay at Browns Camp, and all off-highway vehicles require an ATV Operating Permit sticker. Facilities include five vault toilets, hand-pump drinking water, picnic tables and fire grates at every site, and trash service. The campground also has a day-use staging area. Firearms, pellet guns, bows, and slingshots are prohibited. During high fire danger periods, OHV operations may be restricted to before 1 p.m. and after 8 p.m.
