About
Dovre Recreation Site sits along the Nestucca River National Back Country Byway and the newly designated Nestucca Wild and Scenic River in Oregon's Coast Range. This remote BLM campground provides 10 campsites and a group shelter, making it an ideal spot to escape modern distractions in a forested river setting. Each campsite includes a steel fire ring and picnic table with paved parking. The campground has two vault toilets and a centralized well providing potable water during the camping season. Site #6 features two river access points for fishing and paddling. The Nestucca River is renowned for its fishing opportunities. The campground is situated along a working forest road where log trucks operate year-round. There is no cell reception in the drainage, so campers must download the Recreation.gov app before arriving if paying on-site. Nearby attractions include the Upper Nestucca OHV Riding Area at Whipup Flat, Elk Flat, and Grassy Flat.

From Willamina: Take Willamina Creek Road to Coast Creek Road to Gilbert Creek Road to Bald Mountain Access Road to Bible Creek Road to the Nestucca Byway. From Carlton: Take Meadow Lake Road west 12 miles, continue onto the Nestucca Byway.
