About
Big Meadow Campground is a small, intimate 11-site campground situated along Rock Creek in the Eastern Sierra, about half a mile past Iris Meadow Campground on Rock Creek Road. The setting offers classic high Sierra scenery with excellent access to Rock Creek's renowned trout fishing. At this elevation, expect cool mountain air and alpine meadow surroundings. The campground provides flush toilets and potable water via hand pump. Each site includes a picnic table and bear box for mandatory food storage. This is an active bear area, so all food and scented items must be secured in the provided bear lockers when not in use. Sites accommodate tents and smaller RVs, though no hookups are available. The campground operates on a first-come first-served basis with no advance reservations. Maximum stay is 14 days. Dogs are welcome but must remain leashed at all times. America the Beautiful Senior and Access pass holders receive a 50% discount on single-site fees.
Directions
