About
Pine Grove Campground is a small, peaceful campground located at 9,300 feet elevation in the scenic Rock Creek Canyon of Inyo National Forest. With just 10 campsites tucked among tall Jeffrey Pines, this campground offers a quiet retreat just below Rock Creek Lake. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations available. This is an active bear area, so all food must be secured in the provided bear boxes when not attended or overnight. The campground provides vault toilets and potable water from a hand pump. Due to narrow access roads, RVs over 15 feet are not allowed. Each site includes a picnic table and fire pit. The location provides excellent access to Rock Creek Lake and surrounding high-country trails. America the Beautiful Senior and Access Passes receive a 50% discount on camping fees. Maximum stay is 14 days, and quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Directions
From Mammoth Lakes go south on Highway 395 approximately 20 miles to Tom's Place. Turn right on Rock Creek Lake Road and go southwest approximately 9 miles to the campground on the left.
