About
Belle Fourche River Campground sits along its namesake river within Devils Tower National Monument, offering campers a shaded retreat beneath mature cottonwood trees with views of America's first national monument. The two-loop campground provides 45 total sites: 43 pull-through sites that can handle RVs up to 35 feet, four ADA-accessible sites, and three tent-only group sites for larger parties. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Seasonal amenities include flush toilets, potable water at spigots and restroom buildings, and trash/recycling collection. Each site has a fire ring for campfires when conditions permit, though firewood collection within the park is prohibited. A picnic shelter with tables is located north of the campground. The adjacent amphitheater hosts ranger programs during the summer season. Campers should plan to arrive early during peak season from June through September, as sites typically fill by 6:00 PM on busy nights. The 14-day occupancy limit applies within any 28-day period. Quiet hours run from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and generators are only permitted between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
Directions
From the park entrance station, travel along the park road approximately 1 mile and turn left at the Administration Building. Stay left at the fork; the campground is at the end of the road.
