About

Homestead Campground is one of ten campgrounds at Keyhole State Park, located on the western edge of the Black Hills in northeastern Wyoming, 6 miles north of I-90 exit 165. The campground features 40 campsites with gravel pads and 3 universally accessible sites with cement pads, all situated in a pine setting away from Keyhole Reservoir. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring, with restrooms and water hydrants conveniently spaced throughout the campground. Three sites (44, 45, and 46) include reservable horse corrals for equestrian campers. Keyhole State Park offers excellent recreational opportunities including fishing for some of the state's largest fish, boating, water skiing, swimming, hiking, and bird-watching. The park's location on the western edge of the Black Hills provides a scenic setting with opportunities for wildlife viewing and outdoor adventure. Homestead Campground provides a quieter camping experience compared to the lakeside campgrounds, making it ideal for those seeking a more secluded setting while still having access to all park amenities.
