About

Beach Area Campground at Keyhole State Park offers a primitive camping experience on the shores of Keyhole Reservoir in the western Black Hills. The campground features 6-7 undeveloped sites without level pads or hookups, providing a more rustic option within the park. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table, with vault toilets and water spigots located near the campground area. The campground is positioned just south of the Keyhole Marina, between the marina and Pat's Point Campground, offering convenient access to the park's designated swimming beach. The beach area features no fishing or boat traffic zones, making it ideal for swimmers and families. Keyhole State Park is known for excellent fishing, boating, water skiing, and wildlife viewing. The park is located on the western edge of the Black Hills between Sundance and Moorcroft, easily accessed off I-90 at exit 165, then traveling north 6 miles to the park entrance.
