About

Coulter Bay Campground is one of ten campgrounds at Keyhole State Park, located on the western edge of the Black Hills in northeast Wyoming. This undeveloped camping area features approximately 16 campsites, with half designated as walk-in tent sites situated along striking rock cliff formations that provide scenic views of Keyhole Reservoir. Each campsite is equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. The campground provides essential amenities including restroom facilities and water hydrants dispersed throughout the area. Coulter Bay features a boat ramp with dock, making it a popular launching point for boaters, water skiers, and anglers exploring the reservoir. Keyhole Reservoir is known for producing some of Wyoming's largest fish. The park is easily accessed from Interstate 90 at exit 165, traveling 6 miles north to the park entrance. Keyhole State Park offers excellent opportunities for swimming, hiking, boating, water skiing, bird-watching, and fishing in a scenic Black Hills setting.
