Bear Creek Lake State Park's cabin area provides a comfortable retreat in Virginia's Cumberland State Forest. The eight cabins include six two-bedroom units sleeping up to six guests and two three-bedroom units accommodating up to eight. Several cabins offer water views of the 40-acre lake. Each cabin features heat pump heating and air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, and coffeemaker, and a wood-burning fireplace with one complimentary bundle of firewood. Cabins have private bathrooms with showers, wrap-around decks with rocking chairs, outdoor picnic tables, fire rings, and charcoal grills. Guests must bring their own linens, towels, and toiletries. Cabins 5 and 9 are handicap accessible with ADA-compliant bathrooms. The park also offers the Bear Creek Lodge, a six-bedroom lakehouse accommodating up to 16 guests. The surrounding park features a swimming beach, universally accessible fishing pier, boat rentals (canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, pedal boats), and a 10-lane archery range with equipment rentals. A lakeside snack bar operates during summer months.

From Richmond, take US-60 West approximately 50 miles to Cumberland. Turn left onto VA-622 (Bear Creek Lake Road) and continue 2 miles to the park entrance at 22 Bear Creek Lake Road, Cumberland, VA 23040.
