Twin Lakes Campground
The campground is open for the season from the first Friday in March through the first Monday in December. Cabins are available year-round.
About
Twin Lakes State Park campground sits in the heart of Virginia's Piedmont region, offering 33 campsites that accommodate everything from tents to 36-foot RVs. All sites include water and electric hookups (20 and 30-amp), fire rings with grills, and picnic tables. The campground features a modern centralized bathhouse and dump station. The 548-acre historic park encompasses Prince Edward Lake (36 acres) and Goodwin Lake (15 acres), providing opportunities for swimming, fishing for bass, sunfish, crappie and catfish, and boating with electric motors. Six miles of hiking trails wind through hardwood forests and along the lakeshores, while an adjacent 8-mile multi-use trail in Prince Edward-Gallion State Forest offers additional recreation. The park, which traces its roots to 1939, merged two historically significant facilities and offers a peaceful retreat with a Discovery Center, boat rentals during peak season, and scenic lakefront picnicking areas.
