Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Expect the power outage threat to continue through the rest of tonight into Tuesday morning in areas that have significant ice remaining on trees. Power outage threat will remain elevated in these areas as cold air and the gusty winds cause ice loaded branches to snap.

Bear Brook State Park campground is nestled on the shores of Beaver Pond within New Hampshire's largest developed state park at over 10,000 acres. The 101-site campground offers a remote, wooded setting with a mix of site types including tent-only sites, pop-up/tent sites, standard sites accommodating RVs up to 38 feet, remote backcountry sites, and cabins at Bear Hill Pond. The park features over 40 miles of trails through heavily forested areas leading to marshes, bogs, summits and ponds, providing excellent opportunities for hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians. Campers can enjoy swimming at Beaver Pond, fishing at multiple ponds including a fly-fishing pond and a children's pond, and canoe or rowboat rentals at Beaver and Catamount Ponds. The park includes two archery ranges and a 1.25-mile fitness course with 20 stations. On-site amenities include a camp store, coin-operated showers, restrooms, a dump station, and limited cell service. The campground also houses the New Hampshire Snowmobile Museum, Old Allenstown Meeting House, and the Richard Diehl CCC Museum in historic Civilian Conservation Corps buildings. Check-in is between 1pm and 8pm, checkout before 11am, with quiet hours from 10pm to 7am.

Directions

From I-93: Exit 9N onto Route 3/28 North and follow signs to Bear Brook State Park. From I-95: Route 4 West to Route 28 South and follow signs. To access the camping area, travel approximately four miles from the junction of Deerfield Road and Route 28, turning right onto Podunk Road. At the fork, turn left for the main campground.
