12:09 PM — 10:00 PM

* The warm air temperatures this weekend in the mid 60s may cause people to underestimate the dangers of the cold water temperatures which are currently only in the mid 50s across Sebago Lake and Lake Winnipesaukee, and in the mid 50s in the regions smaller lakes and rivers. * The cold water temperatures can quickly cause hypothermia to anyone immersed in the water. When the water temperature is below 60 degrees, the average submerged person could loose dexterity within minutes and be unable to accomplish simple tasks. Anyone on small boats, canoes, or kayaks should plan accordingly if recreating this weekend and use extreme caution to avoid this threat. Paddle smart from the start and always wear your life jacket! * Generally light and variable winds shift to southerly today. Winds will be breezy this afternoon with some gusts up to 25 mph. If boating on large bodies of water, these strong winds can increase the likelihood of overturning your boat, canoe, or kayak due to increased wave heights.

About

Hampton Beach State Park RV Campground offers a rare opportunity to camp directly on New Hampshire's Atlantic coast. Located at the southern end of Hampton Beach near the Seabrook town line, this intimate 28-site campground provides full-hookup RV camping with water views of the Atlantic Ocean. Every site includes 30-amp electric, water, and sewer connections, all of which must be used. The campground caters exclusively to self-contained RVs; tents, pop-ups, and cassette toilets are not permitted. Sites accommodate equipment up to 40 feet with both back-in and pull-through options available. The park features a camp store, dump station, playground, and access to multiple bathhouses throughout the beach area. Swimming, fishing, and wildlife observation are popular activities. The beachfront location means some restrictions apply: pets are only allowed from September 14 through October 31, and campers must pack out all trash. Maximum stays are limited to 14 cumulative days between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Reservations are made through ReserveAmerica, with a lottery system for peak season bookings opening in mid-June.
