About
Clough State Park is situated on the eastern shore of Everett Lake, a 150-acre reservoir created by a dam built in 1962 on the Piscataquog River in Weare, New Hampshire. The park is operated by the New Hampshire Division of Parks and Recreation on land owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Clough State Park is strictly a day-use facility with no overnight camping available. The park features a 900-foot sandy beach that is the main attraction during the summer season, along with playing fields, a large picnic area with a covered pavilion, and a boat ramp for lake access. The Park Road is an accessible 0.9-mile paved parkway along Everett Lake that provides access to the beach, picnic areas, and boat launch. Popular activities include swimming, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, and biking. The park also has a park store that rents boats during the operating season. The park operates seasonally, typically from late June through mid-September for beach activities, with gates closing and locking at 7:00 PM each evening. During peak season, entry fees apply and can be paid at a staffed entrance or at the Iron Ranger self-pay station. Pets are not allowed during the main operating season. The park is accessible year-round for hiking, biking, and fishing when gates are open, though amenities are limited in the off-season.
