About

Elm Brook Park Recreation Area is a day-use facility located on Elm Brook Pool just off State Route 127 near Concord, New Hampshire. Part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Hopkinton-Everett Lakes flood control project, the park sits among rolling hills on the shores of Elm Brook Pool, surrounded by acres of open lawns and stands of mature hardwood trees. The park offers extensive amenities for families and groups, including four large group picnic shelters with tables and grills available for reservation, plus over 100 first-come, first-served family picnic sites. A popular swimming beach provides summer recreation, while a boat ramp and accessible fishing dock serve anglers and paddlers. The lake is stocked with walleye, brook trout, sunfish, and pickerel. Additional facilities include flush toilets, drinking water, playground equipment, horseshoe pits, a basketball court, ball field, and an elevated wildlife-viewing platform. A 1.5-mile interpretive trail winds through the park, offering views of diverse wetland and upland habitats. Staffed by uniformed park rangers during the season, the park offers special nature programs and a popular Junior Ranger program. Pets are not allowed from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. As part of a flood control project, the park may experience seasonal flooding.
