About
Tucked away in the southwest corner of New Hampshire, Greenfield State Park encompasses 400 acres of diverse terrain including ponds, bogs, and forest extending to the undeveloped shores of Otter Lake. As the largest campground in the New Hampshire state park system, it offers over 250 campsites spread throughout wooded areas, providing spacious and relatively private camping experiences with trees separating sites. The campground underwent major infrastructure and utility upgrades in 2024, reopening with improved facilities. Each campsite features a fire ring and picnic table on gravel back-in pads ranging from 20 to 38 feet in length. While there are no hookups, the campground provides potable water throughout, modern restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers during the main season, and a dump station. A camp store and playground serve campers' needs. Beyond camping, the park offers a popular day-use swimming beach on Otter Lake with lifeguards, bathhouse, and numerous picnic tables. Kayaks and canoes are available for rental to explore the lake's undeveloped shoreline. Hiking trails wind through varied terrain and lead to different points of interest. The park operates seasonally with reduced facilities during the primitive season starting in mid-October. Pets are welcome in the campground and on trails but prohibited in the beach area.
