About
Ellacoya State Park campground sits on the southwest shore of Lake Winnipesaukee in Gilford, offering 38 full hookup sites exclusively for RVs and trailers. All campers must hook up to water, electric, and sewer services, as tents and traditional pop-ups are not permitted. The campground provides both back-in and pull-through sites accommodating rigs up to 50 feet, making it suitable for larger RVs. The park's 600-foot sandy beach provides swimming access with views of the Sandwich and Ossipee Mountains across New Hampshire's largest lake. A boat launch accommodates small watercraft like canoes and car-top boats. The camp store sells refreshments and supplies, and flush restrooms with accessible facilities serve campers and day users. Community campfire areas and laundry facilities are available. Jet skis are prohibited. Reservations are made through ReserveAmerica up to 11 months in advance. The campground operates seasonally from late May through mid-October, with bathroom facilities closing after Columbus Day, though water service remains available at hookup sites. A 14-day maximum stay applies from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Cell service is limited throughout the park.
