Each campsite can accommodate up to 8 people and 2 vehicles, with campfire rings and picnic tables provided at every site. The campground sits at 4,800 feet elevation and provides vault toilets and potable water from faucets during the operating season. The campground serves as an excellent base camp for exploring nearby Lassen Volcanic National Park, which offers diverse hiking trails ranging from easy walks to challenging backcountry routes, as well as geothermal features and alpine lakes. The facility operates on a first-come, first-served basis with an $18 per night fee that must be paid upon arrival. No RV hookups or dump stations are available, so campers should plan accordingly. Campground rules include quiet hours from 10pm to 6am, pets must remain leashed at all times, and off-highway vehicles are prohibited within the campground. Sites must be occupied each night after payment or equipment setup. Federal Interagency Senior and Access passes receive a 50% discount on single campsites.
