About
Badger Creek Campground is a small, primitive campground situated along the Middle Fork Boise River in Boise National Forest. The five campsites provide a quiet retreat with basic amenities including fire rings, picnic tables, grills, and a vault toilet. No potable water is available, so campers must bring their own supply. The campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area. Arrowrock Reservoir lies just west of the campground and is one of southern Idaho's premier destinations for fishing, boating, and waterskiing. The river offers opportunities for rainbow and cutthroat trout fishing as well as swimming. Wildlife watchers may spot deer, elk, waterfowl, eagles, and osprey along the river corridor. Nearby hiking includes Corral Creek Trail #129 and the William Pogue National Recreation Trail #122. Big game hunting is available during season. Access is via Forest Road 268, a narrow and sometimes rough road that extends approximately 25 miles from Highway 21.
Directions
From Boise, travel north on State Highway 21 to Forest Road 268 (Middle Fork Boise River Road). Turn right and travel approximately 25 miles along scenic Arrowrock Reservoir. The campground is a few miles beyond Willow Creek Campground. Use caution as FR 268 is narrow and can be rough.
