The site is shaded by Douglas fir and spruce trees and bordered by Canal Creek. It consists of 11 individual sites with a central group meeting area featuring two tables and a group fire ring. Each individual site includes a table and fire ring, though most are accessed by downhill paths or stairs from the parking area. The campground accommodates up to 50 people and 10 vehicles maximum. Small RVs up to 30 feet, pop-ups, and tents are recommended due to the terrain and creek crossing considerations. The site has a paved, back-in driveway. Vault toilets are provided but no drinking water or electric hookups are available, so campers must bring their own water. Nearby recreational activities include fishing and crawfishing in Canal Creek and the Alsea River, hiking, tubing, and swimming. The campground is located approximately 7 miles east of Waldport on Highway 34, then 4 miles south on Canal Creek Road.
