About
Goose Island Group Sites consists of two reservable group campsites located at the far end of Goose Island Campground along the Colorado River corridor on State Route 128. The sites sit beneath cottonwood trees providing welcome shade in the desert heat, with views of Arches National Park's red rock cliffs glowing across the river. Site A accommodates groups of 15-25 people with a maximum of 10 vehicles, while Site B handles larger groups of 15-40 people. Both sites include fire grates, picnic tables, vault toilets, and shade shelters. There is no potable water, dump station, or hookups available. Site A prohibits Class A motorhomes and trailers, while Site B allows trailers, pop-ups, and RVs up to 30 feet. The location offers excellent access to outdoor recreation. A paved bicycle trail leads to Arches National Park, the Bar M Mountain Bike Trailhead, and downtown Moab. Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park are within 30 minutes. The town of Moab provides dining, gear rentals, and guided tour services just 5 minutes away.
Directions
From Moab, drive north on Highway 191 to the junction of State Route 128. Drive two miles east on SR 128 to the entrance to Goose Island Campground. The group sites are at the far end of the campground loop past the individual sites.
