The canyon features prehistoric and historic rock imagery on the nearby walls, with visitors reminded to protect these cultural resources by not touching or marking rock surfaces. A popular short hiking trail leads from the site to a cool oasis with a small pool deeper in the canyon. The site is ideally positioned for exploring the Moab area, located about 15 minutes from Arches National Park and 45 minutes from Canyonlands National Park.
