About

Moonflower Canyon Group Site offers a secluded tent camping experience at the mouth of a scenic red rock canyon near Moab. The site accommodates groups of 20-25 people beneath a canopy of large cottonwood trees that provide ample shade year-round. No RVs, tent trailers, or camper vans are permitted. The canyon features prehistoric and historic rock imagery on the nearby walls, with visitors reminded to protect these cultural resources by not touching or marking rock surfaces. A popular short hiking trail leads from the site to a cool oasis with a small pool deeper in the canyon. The site is ideally positioned for exploring the Moab area, located about 15 minutes from Arches National Park and 45 minutes from Canyonlands National Park. Kane Creek Road offers additional opportunities for four-wheel driving, mountain biking, and hiking.
