About
William's Bottom Campground is a 17-site BLM facility nestled along the Colorado River Canyon on Utah Highway 279 (Potash Road), approximately 5.5 miles west of Highway 191. The campground offers shaded sites suitable for tents and small trailers, with vault toilets but no potable water or hookups. Campers should bring all drinking water and supplies. The location is ideal for climbers and off-road enthusiasts, positioned between the renowned Wall Street climbing area and the Poison Spider Mesa 4WD trailhead. The dramatic canyon scenery along the Colorado River makes this a scenic base camp for exploring the Moab area. Sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis with a 14-night stay limit within any 30 consecutive days.
Directions
From downtown Moab at Center and Main, head north on Highway 191 to Highway 279, located just south of the Arches National Park entrance. Turn left (west) on Highway 279 and drive 5.5 miles. The campground is on the right.
