About
Jaycee Park Campground is a small, primitive BLM campground located in the scenic Colorado River canyon along State Route 279, four miles west of Moab. The campground features 7 shady walk-in tent sites available on a first-come, first-served basis. No trailers, RVs, or large vehicles are permitted, making this a peaceful tent-only camping destination.
The campground is situated near the Wall Street climbing area, one of Moab's premier rock climbing destinations. The Portal Hiking Trailhead begins at the campground, offering hikers spectacular views of the Moab Valley, the La Sal Mountains, and surrounding canyon country. Each site accommodates up to 10 people and two vehicles.
Facilities are basic, with vault toilets provided but no potable water available on-site. Campers must bring their own water. The campground operates year-round and accepts payment via cash, check, or credit card at the nearby Williams Bottom Campground. The stay limit is 14 consecutive nights within any 30-day period.
