About

King's Bottom Campground is a Bureau of Land Management campground situated along the scenic Colorado River corridor, framed by massive red rock canyon walls. The 21 individual campsites offer a primitive camping experience with stunning river and canyon views just minutes from Moab. Eleven of the sites are designated walk-in tent-only, while the remaining sites accommodate tents and small RVs. The campground operates entirely on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Each site is limited to 10 people and two vehicles, and campers may stay up to 14 nights within any 30-day period. Sites are equipped with picnic tables and fire rings, and the campground provides vault toilets and trash service. Potable water is not available, so campers must bring their own supply. The location is popular among outdoor enthusiasts due to its proximity to Moab's extensive network of hiking trails, mountain biking routes, and 4WD/UTV roads. The nearby Moab Rim Trailhead provides direct access to iconic desert terrain.
