Open — Open year-round for camping. Park gates open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from November through March, and 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from April through October. Dump station and fish cleaning stations are closed for winter season and reopen in April.

Recent development of Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area has created a premier camping destination in Arizona's White Mountains. The campground features 111 sites located in several loops that wind amongst towering ponderosa pine, with juniper and pinyon pine scattered throughout. Many campsites provide views of the 150-acre lake and wildlife islands, creating a peaceful mountain retreat at 6,300 feet elevation. The RV camping area offers 82 sites with 30-amp service (some 50-amp available) that can accommodate rigs up to 40 feet in length. Water is available at all RV sites, and the Mallard and Redhead Loops also feature sewer hookups. The 29 tent sites feature concrete pads, fire rings, and picnic tables, with access to restrooms and showers. Some sites are located near steep cliffs and rocky ledges, so campers should exercise caution. The recreation area is managed by Arizona State Parks and offers year-round camping, fishing, picnicking, boating, and wildlife viewing opportunities. The newly constructed day use area includes five large group picnic ramadas and two playgrounds. Reservations are available online or by phone, with a two-night minimum on weekends from April through October and a three-night minimum for holiday weekends.
