About

Tyee Pavilion is a reservable riverfront facility perched on the banks of the Umpqua River in southwestern Oregon, ideal for company functions, family reunions, and weddings. Located within the Tyee Campground, the pavilion accommodates up to 50 guests with six large picnic tables, a long serving counter, sink, electrical outlets, and a large barbecue grill. A neighboring grassy area includes horseshoe pits and extra space for picnicking. The Umpqua River is one of only two rivers in Oregon with headwaters beginning high in the Cascade Mountains, meandering down to the Pacific Ocean. The site lies in a broad river canyon surrounded by deeply forested mountainsides. The area offers abundant recreational opportunities including kayaking, canoeing, fishing for steelhead and salmon, wildlife viewing, and birdwatching. Visitors may spot deer, bald eagles, osprey, and Roosevelt elk, particularly in the fall. Nearby attractions include the Umpqua River Scenic Byway, the town of Elkton with its wineries, and the Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area. The Pacific Coast is approximately 50 miles away. Reservations are required and can be made through Recreation.gov.
